DUNN COUNTY, Wis.– A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper is severely injured after falling off a highway bridge.
Trooper Brad Ritger was deploying a tire deflation device early Monday to end a police chase on I-94 near the Dunn County / Eau Claire County line.
He then moved to cover, before falling from the bridge deck onto 490th Avenue several feet below.
Ritger was given CPR and taken to the hospital.
The driver in the chase was arrested
The incidents remain under investigation.
