KENOSHA, Wis.– A former youth church volunteer has been charged with repeatedly sexually assaulting his adopted daughter.
According to a criminal complaint, Dale Nixon’s now 17-year-old adopted daughter told Kenosha Police Monday that he sexually assaulted her up to 5 times a week for around 5 years, beginning when she was 10.
She estimates a total of around 260 incidents, and investigators note the actual number could be higher.
The abuse allegedly occurred both at the family’s home, as well as during family trips to Cancun and Sedona.
The girl told police the abuse stopped in winter of 2025.
The complaint says when Nixon was questioned by police on August 25, he was asked if he knew about the allegations. He allegedly paused, took a breath, and said “maybe” while nodding yes.
He’s charged with child enticement, causing mental harm to child, sexual assault, and incest.
Nixon makes his initial appearance September 3.
