JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. — Jefferson County needs the public’s help finding two inmates who walked away from the jail in the past two weeks.
The men were apart of the Huber Work Release Program, which allows inmates to leave the jail for specific reasons.
The first is 42-year-old Jeremiah Smith, who escaped on August 10th while serving a nine-month sentence for retail theft.
Smith is 5’8″ tall with tattoos on his forearms.

The second is 39-year-old Robert Zimmerman, who left on August 19th for a job interview in Watertown and did not return.
He’s 6’1″ with a full tattoo sleeve on his left arm.

Anyone with information should call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
