WAUKESHA, Wis. – A Waukesha gas station employee is found zip tied in a back room after a reported armed robbery.
The employee was working alone on the night shift at the Speedway near Summit Avenue and Delafield Street around 12:40am August 20 when a man with a handgun came in and demanded money.
Police tell WTMJ the suspect then forced the employee into the back room and restrained them with zip ties before fleeing the store.
A store customer who walked in afterwards is credited with alerting authorities to the situation.
The employee was not hurt during the incident; the suspect is still on the run as of 12:45p.m. August 19.
