KENSOHA COUNTY, Wis.– A woman has been charged with stealing a Pleasant Prairie ambulance completely naked.
According to a criminal complaint, 36-year-old Emily Fair made four unauthorized transmissions over the vehicle’s dispatch radio shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday. She can be heard saying “I’m hungry,” and “Do you guys have any food in there?”
She was located in the vehicle around 2 a.m. near the Gateway Technical College Lakeview Advanced Technology Center. She reportedly asked the officer “Are you following me or am I following you?” before driving off again.
Officers located her for the final time near Frogger’s Landing in Pleasant Prairie.
They approached the vehicle to find Fair in the driver’s seat “completely unclothed.” She told officers her dress was in the back of the truck.
She then claimed to be a firefighter who was allowed to drive the vehicle.
Officers allowed Fair to retrieve her dress from the back before she was taken into custody.
Her bond was set at $200. Her attorney has ordered a competency hearing.
