UPDATE at 7:08 a.m.7-27-26:
OAK CREEK, Wis.— Northbound I-41 at Drexel Avenue is closed after a crash involving a Milwaukee COunty sheriff’s deputy early Monday morning.
According to the WIsconsin Department of Transportation, the crash happened around 4:25 a.m. as deputies were responding to a seperate crash involving a semi-trucl. A sheriff’s squad vehcile that was already at the scene was struck.
The Milwaukee COunty SHeriff’s Office has not released information on injuries or what led to the crash.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and expect delays. This story will be updated as more information becomes avialble.
MILWAUKEE— I-41/94 North at Ramp from Drexel Ave, all lanes are closed due to a crash. Traffic is backed up all the way back from the Ryan Road exit.
The crash and closure is under investigation.
