MILWAUKEE, Wis. — A 70-year-old pedestrian was killed Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle on Milwaukee’s north side.
The crash happened around 9:25 p.m. near North 12th Street and West Atkinson Avenue, according to Milwaukee police.
The pedestrian was crossing the street when they were struck by an eastbound vehicle.
The victim suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and was taken into custody.
Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
Milwaukee police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
