MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Public Schools is closing some summer programming sites on Tuesday and Wednesday due to the forecasted excessive heat.
All classes and activities at Summer Academy, Extended Learning Opportunity and indoor Milwaukee Recreation sites are canceled for July 14 and 15.
Outdoor Milwaukee Recreation recreation sites will remain open, including all playground sites that have splash pads and wading pools.
Summer meals will still be available at 13 Milwaukee Recreation meal sites across the city.
The district expects to resume normal operations on Thursday, July 16 pending updated weather conditions.
