MILWAUKEE, Wis. — A 9-year-old child who was critically injured in a shooting on Milwaukee’s north side last week has died, according to Milwaukee police.
The shooting happened on Thursday, July 2 around 11:19 p.m. near E. Burleigh and N. Richards Streets.
Police said the child was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition following the shooting. On Tuesday, July 7 investigators confirmed the victim died from those injuries.
No arrests have been made.
Milwaukee police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
