A Christmas slowdown in COVID-19 testing continued in Wisconsin Sunday, but it also resulted in one of its highest percentages of new daily positive cases during the pandemic.
The Department of Health Services reports 2,287 people tested positive today for the virus from 4,902 tests. Since the pandemic began, 470,818 people have tested positive for the virus. 29,791 of those cases are considered active.
State health officials also reported nine new deaths due to COVID-19 Sunday. That raises the pandemic total to 4,692.
