Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services reported 1,059 new positive COVID-19 cases on Thursday, with a slightly-larger percentage of positive tests than the day before.
16,211 people tested negative, meaning that 6.1 percent of all tests in the last 24 hours came back positive. 5.9 percent of tests came back positive on Wednesday.
The state also reported eight new deaths of people who previously tested positive, bringing the total to 919 since the start of the pandemic.
51 more people have been reported as hospitalized since Wednesday. 8.8 percent of all people who have tested positive have received care in hospitals.
The seven-day average of total positive daily tests has rise by one case, to 887.
