For the first time since the coronavirus pandemic began, Wisconsin’s daily positive COVID-19 test results have topped 1,000.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says 1,117 COVID-19 tests administered in the last 24 hours came out positive.
7.7 percent of coronavirus tests came out positive on Tuesday in Wisconsin, a drop from 10.1 percent on Monday.
The seven day average for daily new cases in Wisconsin also rose with Monday’s totals. It is now 868 – the highest seven-day average of the entire pandemic.
13 more people have died after having tested positive for coronavirus, making the death toll in Wisconsin a total of 859 people.
65 more people have been hospitalized due to COVID-19. That means 4,194 people have faced hospitalization – 9.6 percent of all people who have tested positive in our state. 354 people are currently hospitalized.
44,135 people have had positive tests in the state of Wisconsin since the pandemic began.
