Nursing homes and long-term care facilities in Wisconsin have been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic but help is on the way.
Under new statewide goals, Governor Evers announced this week that every nursing home resident and staff member in Wisconsin be tested for COVID-19.
Staff Director at Service Employees International Union Healthcare Wisconsin Crystal Martzall says comprehensive testing will help ease the fears of staff workers and nursing home residents.
“The testing will help workers to know how widespread the coronavirus is and also with the residents as well,” said Martzall.
