The State of Wisconsin has begun the distribution process of additional emergency funding from the federal government for the unemployed.
The Department of Workforce Development says it will begin issuing a temporary increase of $600 per week in unemployment benefits to people already enrolled in:
- Regular Unemployment Insurance (UI), including:
Unemployment Compensation for Federal Employees (UCFE)
Unemployment Compensation for Ex-Service members (UCX) - Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA)
- Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC)
- Work-Share (STC)
- Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA)
The state says that those enrolled in those programs don’t need to take any new action.
