As a part of Black History Month, WTMJ’s Melissa Barclay will be introducing you to African Americans who are creating the future of black history in the city of Milwaukee.
Today we introduce you to a woman who’s shining a light in Shorewood by pursuing her passion and mentoring others at the same time.
She is the President of Goody Gourmets Gourmet Popcorn Jackie Chesser.
Barclay met Chesser when she would frequent her popcorn shop along Oakland Avenue.
Her positivity and work ethic stood out and her willingness to make her section of the Milwaukee area a better place.
Chesser was born and raised in the city of Milwaukee and has carved out a unique niche for herself.
She’s a business woman who’s had to figure out her own path all while coaching others along the way.
