The Wisconsin Appeals Court today upheld a lower court decision in favor of the Wisconsin Freedom of Information Council’s Bill Lueders.
Lueders had sought emails from Wisconsin Representative Scott Krug regarding proposed changes to the state’s water laws in 2016.
Rep. Krug gave Lueders paper copies but Lueder requested electronic records because they contain more information than paper records.
In siding with Lueders. the Appeals Court says it’s undisputed that electronic copies and email have information not included in paper printouts.
