With the Bucks surging deep into the playoffs, a well-known children’s hospital tradition is capturing that excitement.
Dr. David Margolis, Program Director, Bone Marrow Transplant at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, is continuing to lend his hair to his patients by giving them the chance to dye it Bucks colors.
It’s a playoff tradition Dr. Margolis has had for close to a decade.
“The Bucks are an important part of our community,” he told WTMJ. “The Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is an important part of our community, and we blend those two together. It’s incredible to see a child, or young adult who’s really having a rough time smile when they think of painting somebody’s hair.”
Dr. Margolis also issued a “challenge” to a popular musical artist and Raptors fan.
He discusses it all in the interview above.
Hey @drake, besides being two “super fans”, we will both celebrate Shabbat @FiservForum. While in MKE for @bucks vs @raptors we invite you to @childhealthwi & our kids can color your hair red as they paint my hair green. Maybe the kids @SickKidsToronto can join the fun too! pic.twitter.com/d4VHJ4SO0W
