As part of its process of lessing its losses under bankruptcy protection, Sears says it is closing 40 of its stores including Kmart locations in February.
One of those locations is in Cudahy, on Packard Avenue. It is set to begin liquidation sales.
CNBC says that Sears filed for bankruptcy back in October. It said at the time that it would shut down 142 unprofitable stores, and also said more closings were to come.
According to CNBC, Sears is trying to stay in business as it hunts down someone who can buy the organization before potential liquidation.
