MADISON- UW Madison Athletic Director Barry Alvarez will receive the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award.
Alvarez will receive his award on June 5 at the 70th induction ceremony. Former Packers Jordy Nelson and Brett Favre will both be inducted into the HOF that same day.
Alvarez became the winning-est coach in school history, coaching three Big Ten Championships and Rose Bowl games and is the only Big Ten coach to win the Rose Bowl in consecutive seasons. Alvarez is in his 17th year as athletic director at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
