The Packers and the City of Green Bay are on the short list of candidates to play host to the biggest off-season event for the National Football League.
President Mark Murphy says the Packers are a finalist to host the 2024 NFL Draft, an event typically held in late April or early May.
Murphy announced the news at the Packers’ virtually-held shareholders meeting on Thursday morning.
The Packers had been a candidate to host the 2022 NFL Draft, but the cancelled in-person aspects of the 2020 draft in Las Vegas led the NFL to give that city the 2022 event.
Cleveland will host the event in 2021, with Kansas City doing the same in 2023.
