The road to Super Bowl 54 in the NFC will not go through Lambeau Field as long as the 49ers are still in it.
Thanks to a 49ers win over the Seahawks Sunday night, the Packers earned the two-seed in this year’s playoffs.
That means the team will not have to play a Wild Card game next weekend, thanks to their 23 to 20 come from behind win against the Lions Sunday, and will have to wait another week to learn who they will face in the Divisional playoff game.
The NFL has set that game for Sunday, January 12 with a 5:40 p.m. kickoff. Their potential opponent could be the three-seed Saints, four-seed Eagles, or five-seed Seahawks.
The only way the Packers can host the NFC Championship game is if the 49ers lose their Divisional playoff game.
The NFL has released the schedule for Wild Card weekend:
Saturday, January 4:
- Bills at Texans @ 3:35
- Titans at Patriots @ 7:15
Sunday, January 5:
- Vikings at Saints @ 12:05
- Seahawks at Eagles @ 3:40
