The Governor of the State of Wisconsin had previously shared his goal of having 85,000 daily coronavirus tests in the state of Wisconsin. On Monday, he shared the state’s specific plans to do so.
In a news release and news conference Monday (see below), the Governor and Secretary-Designee of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services offered specifics:

Those specifics include:
– National Guard and health organizations giving testing to every employee where an outbreak happened, along with those employees’ families.
– Rapid response teams for outbreaks
– Free testing and diagnostics for residents and staff of every nursing home (373 in total)
– Increased drive-through community testing with free tests at state-sponsored test sites for those experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
– 15 National Guard unites to set up test sites
– Tests to be set up for every Wisconsin health care system
“We’ve made great progress in expanding our testing capacity these last few weeks, and now we’re taking the next step to ensure our tests performed match our capacity,” said Gov. Evers in a statement.
“Everyone in the state that needs a test should be tested, and through the Badger Bounce Back Plan, we’re taking a comprehensive approach to make sure that’s the case.”
