(UPDATE 9/29/25 10:25 PM) MADISON — The victim who was attacked near Camp Randall has died.
UW-Madison Police are recommending amended charges of first-degree intentional homicide against the suspect, Keith Jones. He’s in custody but has not been officially charged.
MADISON — UW-Madison Police arrested a suspect wanted for an aggravated assault near Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday.
A victim was found with critical injuries around 2 a.m. on Sept. 20, following what police call a “violent, unprovoked attack” in a parking lot adjacent to the stadium near Breese Terr. and Regent St.
The suspect, identified as Keith A. Jones fled the scene. He was later located on Saturday evening and taken into custody without incident.

Earlier this afternoon, Mr. Jones was taken into police custody without incident. Jones was booked into the Dane County Jail on tentative charges of aggravated battery with intent to cause great bodily harm, robbery, and a probation violation.
