MILWAUKEE — A woman from West Allis faces homicide charges in the death of two student athletes from Marquette University: 19-year-old Scott Michaud and 20-year-old Noah Snyder.
41-year-old Amandria Brunner made her initial appearance in court on September 10, and faces two felony charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle with a prior intoxicant-related conviction.
According to the criminal complaint, Brunner was attempting to make a left turn during a yellow light at N. 27th Street and W. St. Paul Avenue around 5:00 p.m. on September 5 when she hit a speeding Jeep carrying 6 members of the Marquette University Lacrosse team.
Brunner admitted to police that she had two drinks–Steel Reserves–before the crash, and failed a field sobriety test before being arrested. Police later found a “red diamond grinder” that contained a green leafy substance that tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and one open can of Miller High Life beer in her vehicle behind the passenger seat. Her blood alcohol level measured at .133 g/100 ml.
Michaud and Snyder died at the scene, and two other students were injured.

Brunner was previouly arrested for operating while intoxicated in October of 2003. Her driving records shows she was convicted in that case in November 2003.
