Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele says county-run facilities are closing immediately.
Out of an abundance of caution, today will take immediate preventative steps to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19. Effective immediately, the @MilwaukeeCoZoo, @CountyParks facilities and Milwaukee County Senior Centers will be closed to the public until further notice.

In addition, the county is closing all public venues including: Mitchell Park Domes, Noyes Indoor Pool, Pulaski Indoor Pool, King Community Center, Kosciusko Community Center, Milwaukee County Sports Complex, Wehr Nature Center visitor center, Boerner Botanical Gardens Visitor Center, Wilson Recreation Center & Ice Arena, and Wil-O-Way facilities at Grant and Underwood.
The county says parks, trails and other outdoor amenities will reamin open, such as dog parks and self-pay golf courses.
