Welcome to Jaytalking, edition 35! After a hiatus to cover both the Packers and the Brewers’ late-season run, we are back!
Today, the discussion involves the issue of whether college athletes should be paid beyond their scholarship, and even including/beyond use of name and likeness for endorsement purposes.
ESPN Milwaukee’s Ashton Rotman joined me to dive into those issues, and whether perhaps having the pro sports leagues themselves collaborate in big-revenue college sports through affiliate relationships with high school drafts and allocations to universities.
Not saying it’s the solution, but perhaps the discussion can at least help the overall landscape produce a better solution than the way it is right now.
