UPDATE 11:30 P.M.: MCTS bus will run as scheduled Thursday with its drivers. A statement from system Managing Director Dan Boehm to the media Wednesday evening states:

ORIGINAL POST:
The bus drivers union for the Milwaukee County Transit System is threatening a strike that could start as soon as Thursday.
The union and MCTS have been negotiating a new contract for more than a year and a half.
The union president told reporters today that if significant progress in talks isn’t made Wednesday, they will go on strike Thursday morning.
According to the Journal Sentinel, back pay and questions about back-dated raises were among the issues involved.
