MILWAUKEE- The Packers aren’t wheels up to San Francisco until Saturday, but eager fans aren’t waiting that long. WTMJ’s Tony Bettack caught up with some fans leaving the frozen tundra behind for northern California.
If you wanted to leave from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport, say, tomorrow (Friday) and return on Monday, a round trip ticket would cost you about $1,200 once ticket fees are added in. If you want to cut your trip short by a day and leave Saturday, there are a few more options, however no ticket cheaper than $525.
While getting to and from California will cost you more than a thousand bucks, staying in the Golden State will cost you even more. A three night stay in a hotel in San Francisco will cost anywhere from $30 a night for a hostel, to $700 for a 3-night stay at a moderately rated hotel. Keep in mind that San Francisco is nearly 45 miles from where the 4ers play in Santa Clara.
A ticket to Sundays NFC Championship Game, if you don’t have one already, will run you another $350.
