No one was hurt after a shots fired incident by Milwaukee Police Friday afternoon.
Assistant Chief Jeffrey Norman says it took place around 12:42 p.m., on the 5400 block of North 41st Street as officers were in the area investigating a domestic violence incident on the 3800 block of West Sheridan Avenue.
After officers heard several gunshots, they noticed a vehicle traveling at them at a high rate of speed. The vehicle struck a squad car, which prompted an officer to fire his weapon at the vehicle. That vehicle then collided with a tree.
Two men inside the vehicle, a 20-year-old and an 18-year-old, were arrested.
The officer who discharged his firearm is a 35-year-old with over 4 years of service.
The department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau is investigating this incident.
