WAUKESHA- Schools in Waukesha are under a ‘lockout’ after police reported multiple incidents in the area.
Deputy Superintendent Joe Koch notified parents of the ongoing incident in an email sent this morning.
The email read in part, “At approximately 9:40 this morning, the district was notified by the Waukesha Police Department that there were multiple incidents occurring in the City of Waukesha and the Township of Waukesha. They advised us to put certain schools in LOCKOUT.”
According to the district, when schools are in lockout, classes run as normal but students are not allowed to be outside nor are visitors allowed into the building.
The district, nor Waukesha Police Department have provided any further details into what the incident may be, but officers were seen investigating in the area of Broadway and Lake Street.
