MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers will host the San Diego Padres in the MLB NLDS beginning Saturday, Oct. 3rd. Game 1 starts at 7:30pm. Game 2 is Sunday at 3pm.
The Padres easily dispatched of the Chicago Cubs in the Wild Card Round, eliminating the north-siders 4-1 on Wednesday night.
“[The Padres] are really good,” Brewers Pres. of Baseball Operations Matt Arnold told WTMJ’s Wis. Morning News. “The line-up is good, the pitching is good and their bullpen is excellent. They’re going to be tough. No matter who we’re going to play, we’re going to run into some tough teams. These guys are certainly talented.”
The Brewers scheduled another workout on Thursday, which will include an intersquad game and situational defense, according to Arnold. Both teams will conduct a workout on Friday.
With the best record in baseball, the Crew won’t sneak up on anyone this year. The confidence and expectation level is trumping the under-dog mentality of 2025.
“Mentality-wise, I love where this team is at,” said Mark Tauscher of ESPN Wisconisn’s Wilde & Tausch “[The Brewers] have built themselves into one heck of an operation. You want the bravado of: ‘We are really blanking” good.'”
“Bring it on baby, let’s go.”
