GREEN BAY, Wis. — A court hearing Thursday in Brown County Circuit Court on whether evidence and case records involving Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs should be permanently sealed.
Jacobs’ ex-girlfriend filed a request Sept. 15 seeking to permanently seal the records, citing privacy protections under Wisconsin’s Marsy’s Law. Judge Marc Hammer denied that request two days later, saying it was submitted in an “improper format.”
A new proposed order is expected to be addressed during Thursday’s status conference.
Jacobs previously pleaded no contest to battery and criminal damage to property. Under the plea agreement, he will serve no jail time but must pay a $1,000 fine and complete several conditions, including having no contact with the victim, completing a battery course and paying restitution.
