WTMJ’s Wis. Morning News defines an EVERYDAY HERO as “an average Jon/Jane Doe who, when they woke up one morning, had no idea they’d be saving a life.”

In Culpeper, Virginia: What began as a routine high school golf tryout quickly became a dramatic water rescue after three teenagers sprang into action to save a family whose kayak had capsized in a nearby lake, according to WUSA 9.
Andrew Tuggle, Gavin Cain and Jackson Castro were trying out for the high school golf team when they heard screams coming from the lake near the second hole. A family had been in a kayak that capsized. The boys swam 50 yards to help them get to shore safely.
“It just shows how much can change in a split second,” one of the boys told the TV station. “If we weren’t there, then their lives would have changed instantly.”
Thank you Andrew Tuggle, Gavin Cain and Jackson Castro for being Everyday Heroes!
