GREEN BAY, Wis. — Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Brown County court Thursday morning as he faces two misdemeanor charges stemming from a domestic violence incident earlier this year.
Jacobs is scheduled to appear at 11 a.m. Thursday on charges of battery and criminal damage to property. Brown County prosecutors filed the charges in August, about three months after Jacobs was arrested following the incident in May.
Jacobs has denied the allegations.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was asked whether Thursday’s hearing could provide more clarity on Jacobs’ status.
“Obviously, the more clarity the better, but it’s just wait and see,” said LaFleur.
Jacobs’ court appearance comes just three days before Green Bay begins its regular season on the road against the Minnesota Vikings.
