Despite a slight drop on Monday, Wisconsin’s percentage of positive COVID-19 tests continues to be more than 5 percent.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 5.3 percent of all COVID-19 tests performed over the last 24 hours came back positive.
The daily percentage of positive tests had not been five percent for the entire month of June until last Friday, the first of four straight days with positive tests above five percent.
In terms of raw numbers, of the 5,612 tests performed over this most recent 24-hour period, 315 came back with positive diagnosis.
Since the pandemic began, 28,058 people have had confirmed cases of coronavirus in Wisconsin; 777 of those cases have been fatal.
