OREM, Utah – Conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk has been shot during an event at a university in Utah.
Law enforcement sources confirmed to ABC News that Kirk was the victim in the shooting. His condition is not known, but a Turning Point USA spokesperson says Krik is in the hospital.
ABC News has also reported a suspect is in custody, though the university has reported that no suspect has been arrested.
Kirk was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem when a single shot was fired, according to bystanders at the event.
“We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!,” wrote President Donald Trump in a post on Truth Social.
