MILWAUKEE — The demolition for the damaged Lincoln Avenue School building is expected to start next month.
Milwaukee Public Schools will hold two community information sessions about the demolition on next Thursday at the Mitchell Street Library.
The building was declared a total loss after an accidental fire broke out on June 30.
Investigators determined that the spontaneous combustion of chemical-soaked rags left in a second-floor garbage can by cleaning staff were the caused.
No one was hurt.
The students and staff at the elementary school were relocated to Pulaski High School for the academic year.
