MADISON, Wis. — Camp Randall Stadium in Madison is usually the home of Wisconsin Badger football, with tens of thousands of screaming fans feeding the team the fuel and fire that they desire on the drive to victory.
Next June though, nothing else will matter but the sonic sounds of thrash.
Metallica, long considered the most successful band within the thrash metal genre, will perform at Camp Randall on June 12, 2027 as part of the “M72 World Tour”. The group will be joined in Madison by openers Limp Bizkit and Avatar.
The performance will be Metallica’s first time in Wisconsin since a sold-out show in 2018 at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee before nearly 19,000 people.
The concert marks the third-straight summer of live music at Camp Randall; country star Morgan Wallen and British alt-rock outfit Coldplay each sold out the stadium in 2025 and classic rock icons AC/DC played before nearly 50,000 fans last July in their first Madison show since 2001.
Tickets for the Metallica show go on sale for the general public at 10 a.m. September 25, while fan club presales start at 10 a.m. September 21.
