MILWAUKEE — Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo faces additional citations related to his arrest for suspicion for OWI in Milwaukee on July 23.
Court documents on August 27 show three new citations filed against Romo, including operating while intoxicated (OWI) as a first offense, unsafe passing on the right, and possession of open intoxicants in the vehicle.
He received an initial citation on July 23 for refusing to take a breathalyzer test after being stopped by a Milwaukee County Sheriff’s deputy on I-43 south on the high rise bridge. According to an arrest-detention record obtained by WTMJ, Romo was given a standard field sobriety test and “performed poorly”.
Romo was in Wisconsin participating in the Wisconsin State Amateur golf event in West Bend earlier in the day.
He is due back in court on September 21 to address all 4 citations.
