WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis.– A hearing has been set to review “Slender Man” stabber Morgan Geyser’s conditional release.
Geyser will appear in court next Thursday with her attorney, Anthony Cotton.
She plead not guilty by mental disease in the stabbing of her classmate Payton Leutner in 2014, which she she did to appease the fictional character “Slender Man.”
She was committed to a psychiatric hospital in 2019.
Geyser was later granted conditional release for the first time in January 2025, before she removed her ankle monitor and escaped her group home later in the year.
She was found in Illinois and transported back to Wisconsin, at which time a judge revoked her release.
Her attorney filed the petition Tuesday to once again make the case for her conditional release.
The hearing is set for September 3.
