MILWAUKEE, Wis. – As the 2026 Major League Baseball trade deadline draws to a close, the Milwaukee Brewers have landed another relief pitcher from a National League foe.
The Brewers are trading with the Colorado Rockies for right-hander Antonio Senzatela in exchange for pitching prospect Mark Manfredi and shortstop prospect Juan Martinez. The Brewers confirmed the deal following the 5:00p.m. Central time deadline.
It comes after a previously reported deadline deal to acquire St. Louis Cardinals starter Dustin May and reliever JoJo Romero while sending Top 15 outfield prospects Alexander Frias and Josiah Ragsdale to the division rival.
The 31-year-old Senzatela brings to Milwaukee a decade of MLB experience in Colorado; he was primarily a starter for the Rockies before undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2023 and shifting to a bullpen role full-time in 2026. So far this season, Senzatela has charted a 9-2 record in 34 games with a 3.61 ERA, three saves, and 46 strikeouts.
Senzatela’s most notable start against his new team came in the 2018 National League Divisional Series; he went five innings allowing two runs and three hits but didn’t factor into the decision in a 3-2 Brewers extra-innings win.
