(Update at 5:15 p.m. on 7/19/26) WEST MILWAUKEE, Wis. — West Milwaukee Police have arrested the suspect connected to the stabbing.
Charges of first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree reckless injury are pending. Police are not seeking additional suspects.
WEST MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Police are searching for a suspect after a deadly stabbing that investigators say stemmed from a domestic violence incident early Sunday morning.
According to the West Milwaukee Police Department, officers responded around 3:37 a.m. near 52nd and National for a reported domestic violence incident.
When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from multiple stab wounds.
A 28-year-old man from Milwaukee died from his injuries and was pronounced dead by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
A 25-year-old West Milwaukee woman suffered injuries that police described as non-life threatening. She was treated at a local hospital and later released.
Investigators say they are searching for a 25-year-old man who fled the scene before officers arrived. An arrest warrant has been issued.
Police said the stabbing appears to have been a targeted and isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The investigation remains ongoing. West Milwaukee police said the case will be forward to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for possible charges once the suspect is in custody.
