MADISON, Wis.— Wisconsin football has revealed a new look for its 2026 season opener at Lambeau Field.
The Badgers on Thursday unveiled special alternate uniforms they’ll wear against Notre Dame on September 6, with the design paying tribute to the shared football history of the University of Wisconsin and the Green Bay Packers.

The all-red uniforms feature a red helmet, red jersey and red pants, accented with metallic silver lettering, numbers and trim inspired by the Lombardi Trophy. The helmets feature a metallic version of Wisconsin’s Motion “W” logo.
Other design elements include should striping that blends the Packers’ signature three-stripe pattern with Wisconsin’s traditional look, along with a metallic American flag patch commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The Lambeau Field matchup will also mark another first for the Badgers. The uniforms will debut Culver’s as the first jersey patch sponsor in Wisconsin football history, following a recently announced multi-sport sponsorship agreement between Wisconsin Athletics and the Wisconsin-based restaurant chain. The expanded partnership also includes men’s basketball and men’s hockey and is expected to provide new resources for athletics and student-athlete NIL opportunities.
In announcing the uniforms, Wisconsin Football said the design represents “the storied football history of the state of Wisconsin,” connecting the traditions of Camp Randall Stadium and Lambeau Field.

Notre Dame will also wear special alternate uniforms for the game. The Fighting Irish’s design pays tribute to the Green Bay Packers’ early history, including the franchise’s Acme Packers era in the 1920s.
