MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Air and Water Show is headed to Milwaukee’s lakefront once again, with a new leader in the cockpit.
Brian Allendorfer Jr. spent 20 years in the Air Force. He is now the owner and director of the show.
“I just fell in love with Milwaukee. I really love it here,” says Allendorfer.

This year’s lineup will not feature the Thunderbirds or the Blue Angels, and will rely on military performers and civilian pilots. The lineup has also been adjusted due to world events overseas.
Some of the planes flying during the show include the Air Force’s C17 demo team, the Air Force Academy’s parachute team Wings of Blue, the F16 Viper demo team, 522 Raptor Demo Team, and Air Force Heritage flight, and more.
“We also have a water show that’s going to last an hour, and it’s going to be upgraded from last year, so that’ll be great to see. I hope the kids can come out and enjoy that as well,” says Allendorfer.
Allendorfer says he has highly considered public feedback and is introducing improvements, such as hiring a firm to handle parking. He also says the lakefront’s setup will allow him to sell premium and VIP tickets.
“I’m excited for what I don’t know about. I’m excited to learn new things and watch the smiles on the people’s faces as we put this thing on,” says Allendorfer.
Allendorfer says he has big dreams for the show, including the possibility of more international teams and a potential night show.
The Milwaukee Air and Water Show is July 25th and 26th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
