TWIN LAKES, Wis. — Police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed in an apartment in the Village of Twin Lakes.
Officers responded to the Tan Oak Apartments near Wilmot Avenue and 110th Street around 9:02 a.m. to reports of a person being shot.
Police scanner audio indicated that caller was the likely shooter, and told dispatchers, “she is beyond help… and that she is dead.”
Inside the home, they found a 38-year-old woman dead from an apparent gunshot wound, and that a glass sliding door at the home had also been hit by gunfire.
Officers also found an 11-month-old child and a dog inside the home, and both were not hurt.
Police arrested a 35-year-old man, and say there is no threat to the public.
