WAUKESHA, Wis.- The Red Cross hosted a fourth resource fair today in Waukesha county for those continuing to seek help after historic flooding. More than 1,600 homes were damaged in the flood and 150 were destroyed throughout the region.
Resources include the Salvation Army, Feeding America, and more.

“It gets really tough and you start to realize just how overwhelming it can be. To make resources available to some of those people that tried to do it on their own is just as important as those that couldn’t do it from the very beginning,” says David Burke, Public Affairs Supervisor for the Red Cross. “The community did take care of each other, and they continue to do so.”
Burke said they’ve connected hundreds of families throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

President Donald Trump confirmed Thursday that the federal government will provide just under $30 million in federal disaster funding.
Over 6000 FEMA agents surveyed Wisconsin last month.
Those still affected are encouraged to call 211.
