OAK CREEK, Wis. — A 25-year-old man died and another person was injured after a motorcycle crash in Oak Creek Saturday night.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcycle was speeding when it rear-ended an SUV on I-41/94 north at Drexel Ave. around 11:40 p.m. on Aug. 23.
The Oak Creek Fire Department attempted lifesaving measures on the 25-year-old at the scene. He was then taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries early Sunday morning.
The driver of the SUV was also taken to the hosptial. It’s unclear what condition the driver is in.
MCSO said several motorcyclists including the 25-year-old were speeding and driving recklessly in the area at the time of the crash.
The freeway was closed for several hours after midnight for investigation.
