WEST ALLIS, Wis.— After heavy flooding forced the Wisconsin State Fair to close on its final day earlier this month, cream puff fans are getting a second chance.
The Fair hosts a special Cream Puff Drive-in on Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The process is simple: Go to State Fair Park, park next to the Dairy Building, walk inside, get your cream puffs (Pre-order or buy there), and take home some of the best treats Wisconsin can offer.
Fans have the option of a three-pack of Original Cream Puffs for $14 or a six-pack for $25.
The Drive-in was created to give fairgoers a chance to enjoy the tradition after the flooding cut celebrations short.
“This is my second home,” Carol, a State Fair fan says to WTMJ. “And I brought my children here,  my grandchildren here, and hopefully I’ll be here long enough to bring great grandchildren.  And I will always be here for cream puffs.”
The sweet treats don’t end Friday- Original Cream Puffs will also be sold during the Snap-on Milwaukee Mile 250 INDYCAR race, with a to-go location set up on Grandstand Avenue.
People should enter the fair grounds from Gate 4 or 5. Pre-orders are picked up by showing the QR code given after the payment process of your cream puffs online.
