FOND DU LAC, Wis. — 37-year-old Zackery Olson of Nashotah is heading to prison for stalking and terrorizing a woman in Fond du Lac over the course of seven years.
A jury convicted him on 16 charges that include repeated felony stalking, telephone harassment, and bail jumping.
According to the criminal complaint, Olson used a smartphone app called “Burner” that creates fake phone numbers to harass the woman in 2020. He sent dozens of vulgar texts and voicemails to her from the fake numbers.
Olson was arrested in March 2021, then posted $10,000 for bail. He was arrested again in 2022 after sending the victim harassing emails.
A jury previously convicted Olson of harassing the same woman in 2018, after which the victim and her sister obtained a restraining order against him.
He will serve 15 years in prison and 14 years of extended supervision.
