Move-in day is here for Marquette University freshmen.
The school welcomes their newest class on campus Wednesday as Class of 2026 students begin moving into their dorms prepping for the start of the school year August 29.
The university seems to be approaching pre-pandemic enrollment numbers. This freshman class is one of the largest first-year classes since 2018 with over 16,500 students applying. Vice President for student affairs Dr. Xavier Cole says the “dwindled” COVID-19 numbers are a key reason for this upped number.
Cole reminisces about the craziest thing he’s ever seen on a Move-in day and gives his thoughts on the importance of President Biden’s plan for student loan debt.
Almost 3,200 students are expected to fill the 9 dorm buildings on campus.
However, the parents of the college students have mixed emotions about leaving their kid on campus.
Parents also give me their opinion on President Biden’s potential plan for student loan debt.
